If so is there a separate download for the v7 firmware? Or would the v7 somehow be included in with the v20 that I download?ġ. Will / should I first flash to v7 and then to the v20? In one of your posts "pasted below" you said to flash it to v7 and then to v19. I'll download the " 9211_8i_Package_P20_IR_IT_Firmware_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Windows.zip" file to get the P20 firmware and put it on a bootable flash drive. Just want to make sure that I've got the steps down correctly, etc. So much info out there, a lot of it seems to overlap.

Thanks whitey, I'm in the process of looking thru those links. I initially had a reverse cable, but have since purchased So I think that I now have the correct cable. I can hear / feel it spinning, but it dosent show up in Disk Management. But when I connect a HD to the card with the breakout cable the drive doesn't show up. The card now shows up in the BIOS / System Settings and also in Device Manager as "Dell 6Gbps SAS HBA", so that all seems good.

I followed the instructions to flash the card and update the driver. I followed the instructions from here to flash it into IT Mode - SAS HBA crossflashing or flashing to IT mode, Dell Perc H200 and H310Įverything seemed to work fine (I think). After posting in the other thread, I picked up a Dell PERC H200 6Gb/s PCI-e SAS SATA 8-Port Raid Controller SAS2008 9210-8i 47MCV card. Working with raid cards is all new to me, so bear with me as I try to get this figured out.īasically, I need to add a couple additional HD's to my WHS 2011 server, but I ran out of SATA ports on the motherboard. I posted about this on another site and was referred here for further assistance. I was referred to this site for some assistance with a Dell H200 card that I'm trying to get working for my server.
